Other Haitian Arts & Artist Paintings

As a member and co-founder of the HAPAM, Michel-Ange’s primary vision was to help recognize the Haitian artists living in the U.S. That vision had led to his contribution in the publication of “ Haitian Art in the Diaspora”. He then shifted his focus to the other talented artists who are still living in Haiti. He also believes that promoting their arts in the U.S. will be more beneficial to those less fortunate talents. This is why he’s dedicating this page to display some of those amazing arts and undiscovered talented artists. The Haitian paintings are very colorful, often time considered as naïve. However, they’re also very academic, profound and rich. The passion of the artists permeates through each stroke they skillfully place on canvas.

Haiti is the land of beautiful arts and extraordinary talents. The culture is full of vivid beauty and heartbreaking tragedy. It’s also an eclectic mix of African, Taino and European elements due to the French colonization of Saint Domingue and its large and diverse enslaved African population, as is evidenced in the Haitian language, religion, and culture.
